Wow what a fish

is smiths docks that rotten jetty south of the ice house, near the newish apartments?

that must be one of the biggest fish caught in the tyne??

smiths docks is west of the north metro ferry landing, next to high shore and the royal quays marina.

That area was crawling with juvenile fish the other night...I kept wondering/hoping/praying if I'd catch the mother hen...t'was not to be

Excellent :)

i am amazed there are fish that size swimming in the tyne!!!

are we all 100% sure that was where it was caught or are we being sold a dummy to stop the real mark being swamped with anglers?

ive been told by about 5-6 different people from all over the tyneside so i'd say it was true, and where it was caught is well known for the odd huge fish.

I know exactly what he was fishing. How many times do you see people catching fish from 'a lower tyne estury mark' because they dont want people knowing they were fishing tynemouth pier!

I don't see how much of a big secret it is!!!!!!! Stop people going and catching all the 27 pounders in the river?!!?! HAHAHAHA

Can't catch whats already be caught!!!!

theres a place on the river tyne that has produced a lot of doubles[not long ago] and a good few big ones caught [and its well upriver from the pier],if you fish the tyne ect youd know about the mark,so you see big fish do get caught up rivers many a time :)folk who think youve got to be on a pier to catch fish im sorry you dont ;)
