wrasse

can anyone help me i have never caught a wrasse and would love to give it a go but dont know of any where localish where i could stand a good chance of catching one any help would be very much appreciated, also tips on bait and tackle would be nice.

south shields pier mate i caught one the other week go about half way along the pier look to the right there is a little slope i float fished off there and caught mine

seeing as you are from sunderland mate,try fishing the wherry at whitburn,there are wrasse there

Any kelpy mark that generally keeps it's deep water at low or high tide will yield Wrasse

as to to tactics etc...try Float fishing with Ragworm baits

very deep gulleys shud hold them and can be took on bottom fishing too there diets are small mussle ,limpets ,crabs,basiclly out they can find on rock ledges

as the lads have said mate, you could also try a light ledger setup fished close into the rocks.
