What a great turn out this year for our Xmas money match. We had 71 anglers turn out to fish cracking conditions and it turned out to be an excellent nights fishing for a good few.
It was fished over low water for 4 hrs and an open boundary (excluding rivers, piers and estuary's).
There was 19 anglers weighed in 87 cod weighing a massive 238lb 8oz
There were also some anglers who didnt bother to weigh their fish when the seen some of the bags coming in so this would have been quite a bit more.
Heaviest Bag with a cracking 13 cod for 33lb 6oz went to Chris Gutherie. 2nd heaviest bag with another great bag of good stamp fish was David Airey who had 5 cod for 20lb 6.5oz. 3rd heaviest bag again an impressive bag of 7 cod for 19lb 7.5oz was taken by Steve Potts
Heaviest fish fell at hands of Anthony Eke with a cod of 7lb 14oz. 2nd heaviest fish and 3rd heaviest fish were caught by the same angler Jade Nicholson on consecutive casts and both weighed exactly the same weight of 6lb 15.5oz. talk about two peas in a pod haha nice one Jade.
