A second hand Conoflex Highlander and a Abu Garcia 7000 Syncro both bought from I.D. Fishing (Chillingham Rd ) some 20 + years ago still have the reel and put the rod in part ex for a Century TTT

I've still got my first rod and reel. I remember thinking I was mint on the pier when I used it first time. I was using borrowed gear off my grandads mate before that and my grandad was back casting with his Scarborough reel and rod like a telegraph pole. I remember him telling me it was a good rod cos it was made from green wood or something.
