  • Hi Jeff
would imagine the first thing you would need would be a licence/permission from Port of Tyne Authority and maybe or both South Tyneside Council, would imagine the council would charge you. Would think you would be putting in a lot of hours for not a great reward, there is only one way to find out and thet is give it a try.

    Hiya Mr Charlton,How are you?
Ive been trying to catch one of those Swordfish but only caught a Flounder and a Nice Lobbster for tea tomorra.
I've Got an Idea I would like your opinion on.Knowing a lot of people in the sport and A lot of people in the neighbouring fairground, how would it be if we had a mobile tackle shop on the end of S/S pier just selling the basics ie weights ,hooks, line maybe a bit of bait when available. Also providing hot food and beverages.I envisage this to be a 7 days a week operation 12 months of the year even at nights if its feasabile.Youre opinion and advice would be greatly appreciated.ps I had pb flounder 1lb 51/2oz today at 1st gate and another Lobbster. and I read the paper allways.
    Regards,
    Jeff Brunt,/Triton.
    Hi Alan,
I believe this post is false. Scott caught the heaviest fish in the Bedlington Open from there. The person who posted it has fallen out with him and has put this on to try and encourage people to go there as Scott wants to fish the next match there too. As you know it isn't a place a lot of people fish. If you look at the other posts by HOTROD, he's been a bit abusive. Please don't post my name on this a sI do not want to get involved in other peoples arguments, but a few people have mentioned this.
    Hi Davey
sorry to hear that, unfortunately I am going away tomorrow so won't be able to get to funeral.

Alan thought you might want to check catch sections- young lad caught a really big Scorpion fish off Blyth. I have,nt see one as big. It is in Nesa catch section.

    hi Alan,

Just like to thank you for putting the picture of me with the 42lb cod in the sunday sun.
Didn't realise it was going in until someone at work said they'd seen a picture of me, but with the name 'Chris Humble' should have been 'Hulme'. Not to worry still got me face in the paper.

    cheers
    Chris Hulme
Hi Alan, Can I pick your brains please. Before the prom beneath Knot's was extended there was (still is ) a gully that used to produce flatties. For the life of I can't remember its name. Can you ?
    cheers Budgie
yes certainly interested, don't know what's going on, wierd they are here at all, but in the winter as well, that is the third reported lately, will pass info on to someone who is doing a study into how the catches along our coastline are changing, quite remarkable.

Alan, did a little flattie bashin under the Metro bridge Newcastle just along from the Copthorne this morning 31/1, managed to catch a Smelt about 28cms long, returned alive of course, caught on bluey and lug. Stevie Elliott (Codonly) said you might be interested, but dunno if he's windin me up or what.
hi alan i was wondering if u had a full list of winners from the newbiggin open you could post. I got a prize but i dont know what posistion i was i weighed in 2 cod for 6lb 2 and an eigth cheers
you will have all the Sth Shields winners I have taken photos of, they are all on your web site, hope they are marked courtesy of, Stephen will also have copy those are what he probably sent you, if you use any just let me know which ones appear in any mags and I will contact them, you will have to tell them also of course. Personally I am not amused with Barney Wright, I did a load of work for TSF and sent many photos, I was once doing a seried of articles for them, but after two another writer got the hump and winged, I couldn't be bothered so just let him do them. Then Barney asked me If I could dash up to Amble ASAP to do an article on Amble club, had to reaarange a lot of things to be able to do it, went up and did the article. Amble lads asked when it would be in, kept being fobbed off, after a year told series had. Asked for expenses which about £25, promises, promises, still waiting. No info goes to TSF.
