just a cheeky question since i haven't been on in a while asking any questions

whats the fishing like up the river wear?

was fancying a go there sometime this week and was just wondering what its been like?

all I have heard is a few flounders

Lower Tyne been producing alot of small coalie/dab and codling the Wear all i heard is the same as Alan said..a few flounder.

Most of them will be leaving soon (if they haven't gone already!) to head offshore to spawn - they'll be back in the rivers around June - time. Most of those caught in this weekend's matches were undersize, only two scraped in 26cm in our match last night

uncle, cousin and myself have decided to give timber beach a go tomorrow night hopefully we'll have caught something to show ya, cos out of 26 hours worth of fishing this week only 1 decent coalie was caught between 8 of us
