to all you fisher lads and lasses who enjoy your fishing,and sharing your experiences with others via this wonderful thing "the internet site"

theres a nasty bunch of people with boats,and those horrible things called nets,lurking on the site:exclam:

they havent had a cod for six months,and they are just waiting for you or me to post that we have caught fish and they will be there like a shot and net the flipping lot:(

i would have to say it puzzles me that they cant work it out for themselves:confused: ie that fash come aboot april for a while:exclam:

i suggest put a blackout on all posting of catches and lets see what those nasty people with nets do,when they have to think for themselves:D:D:D
 
they will just go and put their nets out, all the ones I know at Cullercoats know exactly where and when the fish come in, they tell me, most where shore anglers and some still are, personally don't think it matters if you post reports, they don't know exactly where you have been and in my experience fish do move, where you catch one day, will not be the place you catch the next. Apart from certain species such as bass, which I never mention anyway in my newspaper reports unless it is a realy good one, but never put exact location.
 
The commercial fishermen from Blyth are a good set of lads in my experience and think you are being a bit harsh calling hardworking men making a living a nasty bunch. Cod netting is also one of the more eco friendly methods of fishing.............Dave.

What's the point of having a catch blackout?isnt that what this site and others like it is for?what do we post about ?baits where not catching on?fishing marks that have no fish? Come on fellas,I mean do you really think these boats and netters really make a difference on the scale of things? It's the trawlers out there hoovering up the sea only to discard fish above there species quota,you fellows should direct your negativity towards this and not the humble guy catching a few cod trying to make a crust and not bum benefits like the majority of people these days

FFS how do you think they made a living before the internet?

do you really think they need us to catch a few fish?

i cannot believe that people think they need us to feed themselves

when nets fish lures dont and vice versa

Some of them will actually put you onto fish and share marks etc etc

Aye a gree sorry but in my eyes all net fishing shood be band in sea shood any be rod and line Re even a long line with hooks so you can put bl what is no good saves outher fish daying

I do agree on a ban but this should be banning foreign boats coming into our waters,who don't have restrictions on species or amounts they catch,a ban on uk trawlers would have a knock on effect,they say for every man at sea six men on shore have a job,so there would be thousands of jobs for the Englishman GONE! It's bi-catch that needs to be sorted out thousands of tons of sought after cod are discarded because boats have met there cod quota,only to be returned to the sea dead! What's the point of that ?same boat goes out couple of weeks later looking for cod again wtf,are we really this backward???? What fishermen catch they should keep and be governed by an overall limit for the year,longlines are not cost effective for our waters
 
As if the netters dont know when the fish are around ??? Im an ex netter from the 80's and these lads have a living to make !! stop being selfish the sea is there for everyone !!
 
to any one that has been offended;the post was meant to be taken with a bit of humour:)

however i think the point has been made quite clearly:D:D:D:D:D post or no post the trawler lads know when and where the fash are:D:D:D:D
