Does anyone know the full results i fished the doctors house at howick and blanked so did not go to the weigh in?

Andrew Hooper won it with two cod and a dab for 17lb 12oz, plus a cod of 15lb 6oz. Unfortunately it was not a very nice cod it was well unlcerated and manky and unfit for human consumption. have been on a while trying to make the photos look good, will post a before and after for you later.

It was the same story for us at Beadnell ,fished the skeers for two hours then the bay in desperation , well done to Andrew ,yes Alan I heard the fish was ugly ,nice to see a few faces at Radcliffe club.

Defeated by the kids again!
Last year my daughter-as reported here, fortunately she decided not to fish this year but my 8 year old lad did fish and..........
1lb 10 3/4 oz flatty from Embleton beach, only came second in the heaviest flat comp!
The lad fishing next to us won junior slot and also lost out to my lad by 1/4oz to get third in heaviest flat.

Good news for the juniors perhaps we could learn a thing or two?

To carry on my thoughts of last year:
In these competitions I think it would be best to split the junior prize to 1st, 2nd 3rd to encourage more youngsters to take part, then they won't have to thrash us in olds in the biggest catergories (or might even do that as well!). Also suggest similar 1,2,3, for ladies to encourage more to enter: After all the more entries we have, the mre funding for prizes!

As for me? One undersized flat and had one decent one that shook the hook right in fron of me, watched it swim off! Perhaps next year?

See post for New Hartley Open for encouragement for kids.
