Angler Drowned

Terrible news my thoughts go out to the family's involved in this, also have to say I feel for any of the lads who were witness or involved as the after effects can be terrible

My thoughts as well mate,Blanchie rang me when it happened, said a police helicopter first on seen then Sea-king lifted angler to Hospital.

He said he was also very lucky as a massive wave cleared the top shelf and washed his gear and fish back towards the dean,he was fishing the white rock but recovered his gear and fish next to the path way below the car park.
He up and off as soon as he could after that.
He said he had to wade off chest high,I'm pleased I didn't fish it today as I would have had my 4x4 there.

Thoughts go out to the lads family that was drown, very sad.

first of all my deepest sympathy to the family of the angler thats lost his life , i cant even begin to imagine how they feel

secondly , what the hell has your 4x4 got to do with a sad storyy like this/ no ones bothered about your 4x4 were talking about someones life:rolleyes::(

How sad, I was fishing Friday night up the coast and it was bad but I have been out in worse. We`ve all said it, to many times "one freak wave" is all it takes, but it makes you think again. I have to admit, I take chances regularly on rock edges, and its sad to think something like this has to happen to make you stop and think. So Sad RIP. Keep safe lads.
