fished roker pier a few years ago, went doon the steps for a hit and miss, came back up to see me rod bouncing like fk, ran ower, reeled in a 4lber, only for a kid to come ower and say cheers mate, wasnt my fkn rod, was sick as a chip cos a blanked that neet

remember that monster i cudnt shift jimmy ,come off on the lift it sat there for a while laughing at iz before it swam off i was wounded for a fortnight

I was about 14 fishing with mates down the river wear at cox green and one of my mates didnt have a clue about fishing...he was using a beach caster on a 20 metre wide section of river and cast a 6oz lead straight into a house on the other side...then after he was swinging it around and the lead flew off my other mates head..luckily he was wearing a hat!!

You'd need more than 60lb line to cope with my 'barry smoothneck!'. Besides its just an opinion, i have no control over making a thread a sticky or not so a cannot say nowt 
Here's another daft thing for ya's for the thread...
Getting up really early in the morning, getting all ya gear, flask, bait and food ready, and your dead eager to get goin.
You get to your mark, lay out ya stuff, get rods n reels setup, then get to your tackle box, open it and say 'where's me rig wallet'??? !
You then quickly realise that after everything you packed, you forgot ya dam rig wallet
I've only ever did this once, a few years ago, and hopefully never again!

Yep jim, a carry spare line and all the bits (hooks, swivels, etc) to make rigs on the spot but ya feel **** when you've put all that time into making them only to find you have forget them. god help me if a ever did that in a match...
good idea mate, the WSF site has a silliest, daftest thing i have done when fishing and some of the stories are hilarious

if you were there in a match and had done that, and i was there i would lend you some rigs or give ya the gear to build ya own mate, am good like that
