Im not sure if the guys family will read this topic, but they may also like to know that people are passing condolences from right across the UK with topics been run on many websites including wsf north east - Angler trapped after cliff collapse - World Sea Fishing Forums, Anglersnet, Anglers Afloat, and Whitby Sea Anglers - Sea Angler Dies As Newbiggin Cliffs Give Way we are all very saddened by what has happened.

Hi all
As a keen fisherman of many years,a lot of which were spent as a child fishing from the cliffs at sandy bay i was devastated to hear of the terrible events which claimed the life of a fellow fisherman. condolences to his family and friends. Also as a member of the fire and rescue service i can tell everyone that the poor guys body was recovered today at approx 5pm.
