Catch reports on facebook?
If by reports you mean a picture of fish with "had these out last night" then I suppose you are right. If by banter you mean loads of swearing, people putting up rude replies, constant arguments, then yes there is plenty of that too, precisely because the moderators do absolutely nothing and it allows the bully boys (who love to intimidate people and pass it off as "banter") to flourish and if you want to buy and sell gear/bait, there is definitely plenty of that.
If you would rather read a real catch report that actually has information/tells a story, if you would rather interact with members, swap information and learn about fishing, then a site like NESA is invaluable.
There is no question that NESA and other sites like WSF are quieter than they used to be and facebook is likely the reason. Putting up a picture with a a line or two, is easier than taking the trouble to actually write a proper report and unfortunately that is what a lot of people are doing these days.
It is a real shame, I have looked at the locker and the rest of the facebook sites, they are entertaining for about 2 minutes, then I got bored with all the crap.
Give me a site like NESA every time.
