Ask Jonny.........lol

Mick, 2 things.
One, why did you use a 4/0? surely a big hook leads to less fish also (as per your previous argument)
Two, Silvers are key to your argument. I\'ve fished next to people using exactly the same size cod bait before EXCEPT they\'ve added a silver on the end and been hammered, and vice versa. Try it with a single lugworm on a 4/0 in a big sea or on the rock ends, and see how it works.
It all depends on conditions, nothing else. Heres a scenario for all of you....
You go down to your local pier, seas just dying down after 5 days of gale force northerlies, perfect roll on. You\'ve got runnidown, squid, and mussel for bait. How would you bait up.....
a) a single lugworm, or a small cocktail on a 4/0
b) A big cocktail of all three baits.
One thing you can\'t deny is big baits = big scent trail = more chance of any fish sniffing your bait out.
I\'m not a devout fan of either way of fishing, I\'ll change to whatever the conditions/ground in front of me dictate, but personally I love throwing a big cocktail bait into a lovely rolling sea waiting for that first slack liner!!
PHP:i\'ve never been one to follow the masses, much prefer to do my own thing
