Big Tides

have just got back from Tynemouth Beach with the dog, the tide was so far out i was standing on rocks in walking boots that the last time i can remember being there i had chesties on. Gulleys that you normally would of had to jump over where bone dry. The weed on the nettly berds was about a foot out the water for their whole lenght. The weed on some of the rock marks that i used to fish around in my boat was quite visible.

Your not wrong Alan, todays low tide was a 0.4 and the high tide tonight is a massive 5.5, try holding bottom in that Thursday is going to be about the same 5.4 high tide.

I was in Whitley today and mentioned that I was gutted at forgetting the camera. Might have to get back tomorrow.
