Mustad,Sundridge Fisher are two brands Ive looked at. Personal recommendations appreciated.

what about neoprene socks with your trainers yes your feet might sweat but how often on a boat does it get that hot in the north east

muck boots are great, thought they where expensive when I got them but like wearing trainers, must of had them three year now and show very little wear.

always best to get a good pair of boots ,ive been out with people in trainers and once their feet get wet they stay wet all day ,bought mine from Veals about 9 years ago still going strong and no leaks ,defo worth spending that bit extra on a good pair.

What type of boot was it you purchased from Veals big fish.

Don’t you lads just wear trainers? Mine smell anyway so adding fishy bits won’t make them much worse. They comfortable and give good grip without marking.

I take it you want waterproof boots for boat work.
I would recommend yacht wellies, they got great razor-cut soles for good grip on deck.
They are warm and waterproof.
Crewsaver make a good quality short boot with removable inner lining some can be removed for drying.

The short boot can be kicked off in a emergency if you go overboard.
They are designed solely for non-slip on deck when wet.

Prices are very reasonable.

I use musto but they are a bit more costly but I'm using them non stop in the summer months.
