Alright chaps after your thoughts on braid on a multiplier. I've just started fishing again after years away been getting on well with my 535 mag but fancy trying braid I know it was a no no years ago but seems a few lads are using it these days any thoughts apreciated.

Been using it since September on an old sl30 and it's been no bother. But only use it from rock marks where a big chuck is not needed, also go for the heavier braid so it does not cut in the coils when retrieved.

I've been using braid on my 525 for 2 years now, I use 50lb power pro. I've got backing line on, with a couple of wraps of tape over the top to stop the braid digging in then 150 yards of braid. It works fine for me and can send a lead a fair way.

A few of the lads near me use braid on there multi's,100lb straight thru for the ruff stuff(for lobbing into the kelp/holes)60lb can be very thin, might not be up to the job if it's real tackle hungry:cool:

use braid on my penn fathom 15 as the shock leader spot on.
berkley 18lb main line 50lb spectra extreme braid end up with a very small knot. as just use 5oz leads.
just ordered a spool of 60lb spectra from china for the price good stuff .
