Hi Alan, just out of interest I looked up the qualifying weight for the Shimano Mission target in Sea Angler, convinced the young lad would qualify. It happened to be the Feb/Mar issue from earlier this year (the one with Stevie Williams & a flounder on the cover) and it turns out the target for "north" happens to be 5lb :( - However on p. 63 it just happens to list a shore caught ling from Dunstanburgh Castle of 7lb 2oz by Steven Hall from Easington (does seem to ring a bell with me that one).

Nevertheless I think 4 - 15 is a cracking fish for the young lad & I'm sure he'll do well in the young rods section if he sends in details, especially if he's got a picture. Definitely think it's worthy of recognition.

Cheers, Gary :)

my full name is kevin turnbull

Hi Kevin you where shopped long ago, unforetunately the Journal ran out of space and missed your bit out, see below. Honest they made me do it, they said they would stop my mackerel supply.

Another travelling angler who didn’t fare so well was Kevin Turnbull who’s club Seaton Sluice had a match at Carsethorn, Scotland, somehow Turnbull managed to blank in a match won with sixteen fish for 12lb 2oz taken by Martyn Pygall.

I've got broad shoulders alan i can take all the stick-am sure i won't be the last person to blank in a club match hee hee hee-
