Launched at 8am and headed out to a 3ml wreck. First drift produced a pout about 1lb, next drift a cod around 3lb then one about 5lb. Another boat arrived just as I hooked into something more substantial. Took quite a bit of heaving to coax it away from the wreck, with it diving, stripping line against the clutch on the fixed spool reel. Eventually got it up to the surface, a nice cod that weighed 15lb 8ozs. The digital scales bobbing between 15-16lb.
Ended up with 6 keepers with 4 pout, 2 wrasse' and 1 whiting returned.
Now the bad news, just about to upload onto photobucket, when I realised I still had all my holiday snaps on and didn't want to upload them again, so deleted them in block, unfortunately, deleted the pics of my fish:mad2::mad2:
But, on the bright side, my neighbour on seeing the fish took a photo to show her friends on facebook although the fish is gutted, (a bit like myself), I will try and get her to email me with it and upload on here.
What a fantastic day to be afloat.
