after some info ladds if thats ok.Can tou use crinkle back crab for bait and have any ov you used it befor and what was the result when using it your info would be much apprieated;)

they normanly tear or rip when you put them on the hook and you have to use loads of bait elastic to keep them on when casting i use them off the boat but never used them for shore fishing i know lads that have had nice cod on them.

I personally don't rate them, I've tried them on numerous occasions and I've never caught on them. I'll use crab that has just popped but as soon as the shell starts to harden I don't bother. I'm not saying that fish won't take them just that they haven't worked for me.

Never used them alot in the winter but had fish on them in the summer when using them fresh. Gonna use some this winter, see if they do out. :)

As in all fishing you never know it all!

I fished about 15 years back on shields pier. There were 3 of us fishing for codlings with crab. My pal was pulling out fish between 3-7lb on crinklies (sheriffs badges). Meanwhile me and my mate using prime peelers and were getting next to nowt and certainly much much smaller fish.

They definitley do catch provided they are not over hard. One trick is to peel the outer shell off your crinklies and make sure you cut them in half so the juices flow.

They do catch if the fish are feeding and work very well for bigger wrasse.

I have caught flounders on crinklies in the R.wear, but that was a long time ago and when there was lots of flatties around and they ate everything that was served, bit like us when we were bairns:D
