fished cullercoats last night with my mate. fished from 6.30pm all the way down the tide (11.10 low water) and got nothing - possibly the worst conditions i have seen as the sea was like a millpond! got one undersize lobster.

good shot for the bigger fish after a a dying south easterly sea fish the south side low water be careful of waves coming in produced whoppers for years.

aye ive heard that, well given the sea at the minute it could well be worth a shot in a few days time!

hi dave ,my foot is still sore but wonder if i can get out maybe in a few days time best start of the fishing season for years and i am holed up, south easterleys are my favourites.

South side breakwater, on the high tide, has been one of my fave spots (bar the tackle losses) since the mid 1980's, never produced massive numbers for me but always threw up some nice sized fish day or night. But as mentioned, watch the waves and swells with extreme care.

they where there at low water till about half tide, after that just inbetween waves
