Get a Slosh 20 and learn to use your thumb. If the reel is set up right in the first place line lay is not as crucial as it is made out to be anyway; as long as it is fairly even and no loose coils you will be fine.
If you set the reel up correctly you won't get any nests or overruns exactly the same as a level wind. The level wind is for line retrieve not casting.
it is brand new . but do carry on looking for what your after. upto £100 should get you a nice okuma , or a 7500/7000 abu red .... or this the abu 7 --- Abu Seven Reel, Ambassadeur 7, Multiplier | North East Tackle Supplies all very cheap for a reason .... but all capable non the less.
or how about my 6500 cs rocket - used twice - cost £129.99 selling for £80
Hi mate I have been having issues with my multiplier I have a slower shakespear powerplay and had no problems at all then I got my slosh and what a mess every time out . and then I dropped it to the bottom of my rod and used my left hand just seemed to click ? Didn't really fancy the idea but never birds nest now and cast a lot further just a mention if you haven't tried it worth a chuck ......
Get an Akios 656CTM mate, they are fool proof even for beginners of multi's and cracking reels, using a level wind will reduce your casting ability. If your using a shockleader (which is a must most of the times) the knot will catch in the level wind.
