I just went from Cullercoats to the weigh in at Bank House club Newbiggin, would of gone a lot further for photos of that beast

did he get owt else alan not that heed of been bothered but just wondering?what was the next size cod on the day in the club was it a comp?

It was the Jacky Bell memorial match held at Bankhouse club Newbiggin , 20 fished only 3 weighed in which makes this quite remarkable Frankie Oldam second with 10 lb .

no he only got the one fish, and being a good Journalists I had the cheek to ask if it was a personal best, Frank Oldham had four cod for 10lb his best was 6lb.

Wow . That fish is the reason I stand countless hours on cliffs, rocks and beaches in all conditions. Well done m8 , been a few nice doubles caught early this season still got the big fish months to go might be a few more pigs. but can say that will take years to beat that one. Big well done . .
