Fished 8.30 till 12.30 am. Saw seven mackerel court and were a good size. Three from the river

Dickheads don't fish for mackerel they fish all year round in totally wrong conditions normally blanking or posting pictures of under size fish bleeding from the gills with the quote "saved a blank"

Too many around.. I got loads of abuse on here from them for saying if fish were to be kept ,kill before embarking on surgery to remove hook ..A few of the lads agreed but others said I was a tree hugger etc etc . Significantly none of them could tell me why they thought it a good idea to yark a hook out of a live fish instead of killing it first
. Any offers?

I understand your point's, i think it was the way some thing's were put across that got some lad's back's up. It seemed like you were trying to be judge and jury on a bass picture. (which was released, after been hung for a picture), maybe lesson's were learned by it, and we can all move on, after all this is a friendly fishing forum.....!
the hook was'nt yarked out because as the lad said, it was an undersized bass which by law had to be released.
anyway, am going down to look for some mackeral later, will let you know if all the rain has pushed dirty water out, which will spoil it.
