If you want to go further afield than Shields or Roker piers there/s always Eyemouth or St Abbs or Berwick pier.but you have to be prepared to travel.

They come up from the south, they should be arriving at roker soon, then they seem to dwell there for a while before moving straight up to Blyth and again they linger around there for sometime before eventually hitting eyemouth etc.

ya not quite honest there gordon .they first arrive from the north to shields pier for months then head south around august

Ahh, well it was just what DEFRA told me. Anyways the specimens always come from either roker or blyth Me mate got a 2lber off roker about this time last year
