i would like to say a fond farewell to a very nice man and excellent angler Brian miller founder of the Saint Marys Shore Angling Club ( cleveland ) who died last wednesday as a result of a brain tumour, he fished with it till he couldnt no more , he was a super man for anyone to of had the pleasure of knowing he would help anyone with there fishing no matter there age or skill and was he who helped me catch my first codling in his presence.
he leaves 2 sons russell n dale both excellent anglers too, hayley his daughter and wife kath. the local fishing seen will not be the same knowing the brian isnt there.
it is extremely hard writing this but would like to wish the family all the best. if there is such a place as angling heaven then please let brian be there with a monster cod on the other end of his line.

brians service will be held tomorow at 10am.

so long bri it was an absolute pleasure to of known you and been able to of fished in your company night god bless mate.

As someone who has had a very good angler as a father and lost him, at a relatively young age, my thoughts are with you. Hopefully, like me, they will find time a healer (not a replacement) that allows all his mates to remember him as he was.......as a good fisherman.

thanx guys, just got bk from the funeral and it was a fantastic turn out church and crem were both packed and ppl had to stand outside, was a fitting turnout to a top bloke. thanx again for all yr support for his family and friends.
