Yesterday I took to the water with my brotherinlaw Paul. Sitting in his recently aquired Ocean Prowler he looks quite the expert kayak fisherman, but in truth he is actually brand new to any form of kayaking. This being the case we decided to just stay in the harbour at Shileds, where he could get aquainted with his new craft in the relative safety of enclosed surroundings.
As you can see the water in the harbour was just perfect for paddling about in.
However, the fishing side of it was pretty dismal with only a tiny Coaly in two hours trying.
This made my thoughts hark back to what I had been picking up out on the big sea only the two days prior.
So next time where going back out there, and poke the harbour!!
