Has anyone got a Scarborugh rod and reel they no longer want?

I am looking for both for a window display, any condition it dont matter.

I've got 3 rods and 4 reels, all in working order and all over 30 years old therefore worth mega bucks (according to Flog It lol). Just hope you all realise that they are all the old mans and therefore worth more than money could buy so they stay where they are and hopefully before I pop my clogs I can get one of the grandkids interested enough to take them on. Sorry YT

"they are all the old mans and therefore worth more than money could buy so they stay where they are"

..........and rightly so, Mr Storey :exclam:

Scarborough Rod.

Scarborough Rod.

Hello, I might be able to help you out with the rod Terry, I've an old 10'/11' split cane rod that is very old but looks the part. I've hung on to it for years more out of sentimental reasons than any thing. Just let me know if you may be interested. I think it may be made by "modern arms".

I did not expect the man like Storey to msn his SKarbroughs off to Terry. I just knew that stores off the board was a scarboro dude and as such may have been some man of much infermation

David got your PM

Thanks for the offer.

I want/need one for a window display in my new shop, opening mid april.

What i wanted was something that was longer of any use to anglers, by the sounds of it yours will still be in very good condition and therefore worth something and i could not accept nor borrow something of value.

Once again thanks very much for the offer

Ian, the rod sounds very much what i am looking for, see you when you pop in and we can sort something out for the rod.

Also thanks to ell and others for the thought.

Yes please Graham.

Ian thanks very much for the rod, i will give it a total refurbishment and if for any reason i change the window dispaly i will make sure you get the rod back.

I know you said you wouldnt take anything for it but how about a lesson foc down at Sharpley as a small thank you?

Terry

Hi Terry, I'm just pleased that the rod is of some use to you, enjoyed the bit crack the other day, sorry if I kept you from getting on with your work, I tend to blether on a bit!
Sharpley sounds great but if you improve my casting too much then I might lose the "liontamer" nickname, apparently all I need is a red jacket, top hat and a chair in my left hand!
Let me know when you start going down again,
Thanks Ian.

Ian, got a red jacket and a top hat for you. Starting the weekend after easter.
Give me a ring at shop to arrange time to suit you.

Graham, Revenge?
not on your life mate, i take it in my stride, the pressures on you now to do the double.

I will be there for next meet, but i will not start until well after 5pm once lessons are finished.
catch or not i will enjoy the evening.

Terry
