Heads or Tails

Which way do you bait up...head first or tail? and do you think it makes a difference.

I\'m one for the head and I don\'t think it makes a difference

Always tail first. Tail first means head last. There are no sexual conotations I\'ve missed here are there - we are talking lugworm ?

heads first for all my baits bar 1
just my opinion but i think it looks more natural on the hook
i always try to leave a bit flapping at the end ie the skinny bit on lug
squids the only thing i hook on tail first as i think they swim backwards anyway,might be wrong as ive never seen one swimming

Heads for Rag and Tails for Lug. The head of a Lug is much Juicier than the tail.

i always go for tail first for rag, i try to get the hook point through the hard ball thing with the nippers on, i think it makes it harder for the worw to be pulled of the hook,

Stick, put the hook in behind the head, makes it easier mate.

I was told by a very good angler that when fishing for plaice with ragworm you will get more fish by hooking them tail first.Never had a chance to try it yet but he certainly knows his stuff so have no reason to doubt him.

how about tail first with rag cutting the head off, allowing the juices to flow from the worm.........?????

lug worm either way as it usually gets wrapped up with something else.
