my cccld got stuck in the shop even before i bought it.try rubber gloves .or leave it in the house for a few days,a change in temp will help.when u do get it parted use a pencil on the spigot.

that happend to me nearly had to cut my rod in half to get it in to the car.
luckley enough i used de icer it parted no bother

A good tip i learn't years ago is to spit on the male part of the spigot every time you put your rod together :o that seems to stops it from jamming up when you come to take it apart.

I,ve got the Tip Tornado match and it got stuck together when i pushed in to far when i first used the rod. I drove home from Police Launch with out of my front passenger window like a big lance.
I left it in the conservatory overnight then took it in the garden. I had sprayed spigot with wd40. Using hands on each spigot i managed to twist it apart. Mind i am big build so it probabaly helped.
I was advised by someone to take the rubber stopper off the end and use a metal rod to insert and tap this to help seperate.Could,nt find piece of metal long enough.
I now wet the top bit of rod with saliva then when i push it in its not as far (pardon the pun). Rod works fine now.
Mick.

the way i get mine apart when its jammed is put the rod behind your back holding it with two hands apart at the spigot and gentle sit on it may take a couple of goes but it works for me every time;)

You can buy them things for getting the tops off jars. They are about 6" square and made from really grippy rubber. A couple of those, and with the help of a strong mate you should be able to pull and twist it apart.

for anyone who has had this problem before and wants to prevent it .have a look on the WSF forum[tackle and equipment]there is a stikky about this subject.might be worth a read.

keep a pair of rubber gloves in your box [religiously]from now on ,it comes apart mint with them on,rub your spiggot with candle wax [a candle]every now and then its makes it much easier to part, thats what i do as i had the same prob with my tip tornado grand prix ;)

i rub a bit candle wax on all my spiggots, keeps the carbon from wearing down and gives the leaway, if it gets stuck, hot water should melt it making it easy to slide :)
