hounds and thornys

Was thinking about going over as well mate but don't think I'm gonna get the chance now. I seen Gary Pye had a tope and some hounds also last Sunday but not totally sure on the venue like.

Fish are migratory so will be in the same places at a similar time each year. Sea conditions, tides etc all influence fishing. Why people rely on reports and chasing fish is beyond me. Get out fishing and get some of your own experience rather than being a copy cat chasing ghosts. Everyone wants it handed on a plate watching facebook and the like for catch reports.

Was just thinking the same,as l read this everywhere nowadays.Nobody new seems to want to do any ground work or put hours in bar the very few.Could nt put it better Chukka lol.

Some people don't have the luxury to put the 'hours' in, what's wrong with helping others anyway ? Instead all we see is arrogance and elitest bullsh@t.

I agree with Topbanana, who in their right mind would want to drive a couple of hundred miles to find that the fish hadn't turned up yet? The whole idea of a forum is to share ideas and information.

All well and good sharing tips and advice but be careful what you wish for. The driving 200 miles for nothing happens to us all, one days fishing is rarely the same. Worse though is driving 200 miles to find a usually quiet mark mobbed by people saying i heard it was fishing here. Being pulled in constantly and generally spoiling what would have been a good day. Do you hear about bass catches? Rarely because if its public knowledge then they get wiped out. You wouldn't put your best bait bed on an open forum would you? Wonder why local catch reports go quiet before a big competition? People need to get some experience and learn their own way. By all means ask for advice, some guys on here have a lifetime of "experience"!

.you always seem to have a negitive approach to us,nicky.WHY.??????.:confused:.

Negative approach to Mackems ? You lost me there reg plus football doesn't interest me and a couple of my good mates are mackems, as well as my grandad. The only negative folk on here on the ones who scoff at any questions people have to ask.

So you want people to give up hard earned info so that when they turn up on their mark its like ssp on a sunday morning! Get real!

I'm perfectly real. It's not a secret society it's fishing, there's nowt wrong with helping people within reason. The bloke asked a simple question so pull your head out your arse. I'm sure at some point you've had help and people bang on about what a great site this is, frankly it's a pile of sh@t full of snidey know it all bellends !

Plus the question wasn't even mark specific, just asked if they had showed up on the west coast ! I honestly don't get where some folk come from on here sometimes. Join the masons if you want to live a life of hush hush.

Quieter the better! Once a good mark becomes common knowledge eg the mull and look what happened. the marks end up like rubbish dumps strewn with discarded mono , beer cans and s@#t which is mostly due to so called anglers from the north east! Thats why people are so hush hush!
