Hows your season going?

As the title says, im just wondering how your season is going? For me personally im having a bit of a poor one, ive had some hook ups and lost a few aswell but everytime im out there i always think the next bite will be THE one.
I think we've had some of the best seas/weather conditions for a good few years. So where are all the fish? Whos been catching them and how have you rated the season so far?

ya bright jamie ha ha, codling wise mine has started poor! That aside I caught my first bass on sunday in westoe match so that means I've had the best start to my fishing season m8

Jim im still waiting for mine to start too, even though ive fished every monday since late september and few extras in between!
Was your bass size then John? Even if you aint getting the codlings at least youve got a new jumper and cardigan out of the westoe club! Sorry couldnt resist it!

I am having a brilliant season, had at least 15lb bags of fish every time I have been out, and must of had 30lb on Staurday night, sometimes I have even had more, at Newbiggin I must of had 40lb of fish. Mind i haven't as yet had many big ones, only about a dozen to 5lb. One sunday I had a sackfull of coalfish, quite a few around 2lb, that was over at south shields, and I actually went prepared for a sackful of whitIng, get them another time.

not had much meself plenty little codling biggest just over 2lb plenty coalies, not many whiting loadsa small schoolies so plenty fish, nowt big tho but havent been out as much as av wanted

My season started quite good, had a few good sessions at the end of november to the start of january. its been crap since then, i was hopefull of finally landing a lunker this year but not to sure at the min. Still though, never give up and all that

i have had a poor season so far jamie only about 8 sizable codling so far ,same here had some good bait good conditions just unlucky i suppose ,but saying that there is still hope was out last night on marsden beach and got a 4lb codling so fingers crossed
