well had the worst session of the season fished one of my fave marks sea was massive and the pull was unreal anyway i baited up with ragworm tipped with a ball of blacks and wacked it out after a good few minutes in the water thump thump so i picked the rod up and reeled the slack line in and thump again so i stuck into a good fish with my mates next to me waiting for the fish to surface but the leader not snapped (crappy ultimate seastrike line) so i baited up again this time with blacks rag and razor then again thum thump so i strike into another fish which i managed to land weighing 3lb 14oz which would of been 4lb if it had not spat out a small whitey lol. baited up again with ragworm and blacks and hook into another good fish this one i get all the way to the side but could not get it to the surface and it took me down into the rocks after 20minutes of trying to free the fish i realised i was not going to land it, after that the sea was too big with the big tides making the mark too dangerous so i had to leave the mark even though there was fish there as i hooked 3 in 3 casts but atleast i landed one! devastated is not the word

Nice fish , sorry about the lost ones but brave attempt in bad conditions. They say only english men go out in the midday sun ... But only fishermen go out with big seas like today. Well done hope to get out myself today.

The knots always slip using Ultima Seastrike. I tried using the 60lb stuff as shockleader and the leader knot would not hold. Binned it without even fishing with it. Shame about the good fish lost and well done on the one you landed.
