Many of the lads in Tynemouth should be able to help you; how far north did you have in mind? Tynemouth beach can be good in winter, fish the middle to north end a couple of hours either side of low water when there are a few breakers there. If it is calm then head a little further north towards Brown’s bay at low water and you’ll see an island that gets exposed on bigger tides. This is crab hill and fishes well through the year, watch the flood behind you though.
Oxfauld, the gully running diagonally from the prom. on the north side of King Edward’s Bay is a good high water mark if the sea isn’t too rough to wash over the prom.
must be 20 shots i fish from the north pier up to blyth pier high and low water and hopefully all will be fishy this weekend with the right tides seas and the hopefull fishing reports. av worked away fo years and easy to get out of loop so happy to help:red:
