Well three of us set out from h'pool on a lovely day yesterday and I was only interested in wrecks. So we stopped at the first wreck at 3 mile and only managed a few whiting. moved out to 5 mile and my two mates were straight into a couple of nice 5lb cod. I decided to put a whole whiting on and immediately caught a 5lb cod myself. after a couple of hours it went quiet so we tried a couple more wrecks and ended the day with a decent bag between us of cod ., ling, Pollack, Mackie and whiting, biggest around 8lb. I went out again today on my own and managed two cod around 3 - 4lb and a pollack of 3lb. plus a few whiting .Today was lovely out there.
