However the point remains that other people manage to argue and put their point across without having to result to getting personal.

Mods had already warned us all a while ago about users posting personal crap. Some listened, some continued.

If he had good reason to be banned fair enough Mick, I dont know him personally but i know that he give a lot of good advice to people on here and spoke his mind when he needed to, Just seems 1 rule for some and another rule for others.

Not that you are bothered, but a couple of weeks ago he had a totally unprovoked dig at me.

And since, if you cared to look, he has dragged me into threads that I had nothing to do with. Eg look down a bit at one of regs posts.

On Saturday the op had nowt at all to do with him, or any of us really, yet he came out all foul mouthed and did say a few pretty crude things to others.

To say I provoked him into the insults?? Laughable to be honest.

its not whats was said about the shop, business or anything. there has always been a fairly healthy debate on here regarding service from any shop, real or virtual, good or bad. The line has only ever been drawn when someone decides to become outright libellous or slanderous.

As I said the thread deteriorated way past the resolution between the OP and the shop. I could have locked it, but could be bothered going through 15 pages to delete all the useless carping (did you se what i did there) deleting it was easier

plus in the past, mods have taken the time to trim all the rubbish out and then it kicks off with 'why were and y posts deleted and z' Its easier to just kill it off altogether.

thats just the way it is.

as for others getting banned for name calling - watch this space. Marco went as mods/admin inboxes were full of reported posts about his comments - reported by many different people I might add

we know there are others, very much borderline. the dozen or more complaints about marco put him over that line.

And yes I tried to make folks aware a while back in a lighthearted way that the personal crap had to stop. Most folks wound it in a bit. Some didn't
