NESA annual shore comp, the result.

We got a phone call about midnight last night and had to rush to the rvi - Ray's dad had a heart attack so we were there till half five distracting his mam from fretting by telling her tales of you lot ;) and the fish we didnt catch lol!

Ray has just phoned the hospital and he is ok now so thats good news.

lol! as with most things in life timing is important - more so for us shorties :D Ray never had a pair of roller skates as a kid so walking on moving objects (loose stones) is a new experience for him plus he has further to fall! :p

ALi

Sorry to hear about that Ali and Ray, pleased he is feeling better now though.

Nothing ever get's forgotten on this forum does it except the odd roll of bait elastic

Keith I never use bait elastic on this forum only when I go fishing mate lol.

Jim.

Why is it that bait elastic is always the thing that you forget and can't buy when you are out for a nights fishing. The petrol stations should sell it - well they sell things for the weekend don't they ;)

The way things worked out it was just as well we had been fishing the comp as it meant I hadn't had a drink and could rush straight up to the hospital. He is being well looked after and has been suitably chastised for not ringing for the abulance at five o'clock when he got the tightening in his chest

Ali

Keith try this, cut your chicken strips in half, deep fry them in batter, get a nice sacla stri fry sauce or equivalent, they do a lovely spicy one, heat the sauce in a thick based frying pan, put the fried chickens in and toss until covered, and serve with rice or a nice crisoy salad. Delicious

Huge thanks to Paul 'fishfinder' for looking after me and making me feel so welcome at this event -as did all i met! 'willywetegg', 'sixfootsteve', and 'pottsy' to name a few. Hope to see some of you out and about soon on various marks around the coast.

NESA is obviously a fantastic club and i'm glad i joined.
Please keep in touch!:D
Mark

Thanks to all that i met last night. Thorougly enjoyed my night. Good to see a decent return for the lifeboats as well.
I was fishing about 300yds north of the middle toilets on Blyth beach on a large sandbank and it was almost waist deep behind me when i came off. Fortunately i have long legs! Hope to see you all at the next match ( south of the Tyne is uncharted territory for me).

Just a quick one to say, how much I enjoyed myself last night.
Thanks for organising a great event Jim and bullying me into fishing it.
The fishing was pants, but the craic more than made up for it!!!

A canny tidy little sum has been made in all and I'd like to say thanks to all those who fished my little get together the other week.

Was nice to put a few faces to names and I'm sorry that I didn't get to speak to more, but I rushed off after the weigh in to fish Lower Tyne Estuary and catch a couple of tiny whiteys!!!!!
Should have just went home!!!!!!!
A lad close to me pulled in a 4lber and an 8lber aswell as a couple about 1.5lb.
Guess it wasn't my turn last night.

See you's all again at the North vs South and hopefully this time we will all be weighing in!!!!!
( Well the North anyway )

Cheers

Tony

Ps Ali/ray, Glad all is Ok

Another great winter comp and a first for me and our Davey, we both managed to weigh in this year with a codling each from Cullercoats for 1.8 and 1.6 on Terrys scales (1lb 13oz and 1lb 10oz in old money) which is great news as Terry had told us no more peeler if we went to the scales with chickens lol
