Nice one cocomonkey, enjoy mate ..............................
If it`s not got a name already then cocomonkey sounds a good start :) :)

Well the boat i have just got is already called Stingray....not a bad name, may change it may not..see how i feel when she is done up abit.

Needs a little tlc on the wood and abit clean down in the cabin, other than that she is brand new..the last owner kept a log of everytime he went out and how long he spent at sea etc....was a hobby for him to log things etc.

Going to remove the "diving" platform at the back and fit a small single ring hobb in the cabin, as well as get some new fenders as i dont like the bright orange ones it has.

It has a 128 Garmin gps...anyone know if it's any good? or worth ordering a new one?
Just wish to get what is left of this season out of her and next season then moving onto something abit bigger and fast.

Supposed to be bad luck to change a boats name ? I'm not superstitious and don't worry about things like that ....... but I'd still probably leave it :)
Rome sounds good to me for your boat cocomonkey , you could always add a twist and give it a double meaning by spelling it Roam?

It must be great to have your own boat. Lad at work has one down at Hartlepool. He was only saying the other day how expensive it is though.?
Some other lads at work share the cost of a boat. Three of them. The boat is not moored and is towed to the sea. Lads reckon its loads cheaper.

its cheap as chips mate £60 a year to use the launching ramp £30 a year port of tyne licence £57 a year insurrance and then fuel which will be split 4 ways on this boat as its gonna be a juice guzzler lol

Good on yer coco. If its out like Craster you only need to be out a mile to be hitting the cod.
I retire in four years time and have thought about a boat for some time.
I would have to leave it somewhere though.
We have a place at Annfield Plain which is a secure site.
Not sure of the costs.
Bob C was telling me him and his brother had a boat moored down Hartlepool and it was just not getting used enough. Think it was a grand a year to keep it in the Marina or docks.
Bob prefers to go out on Charters now.
