new boat

Talking of new boats, have you seen the test of the Leisure Cat 6000 in February\'s Sea Mangler magazine? I quote:

\"I strongly recommend you get in touch with Helmarine and arrange a test\"

OK, so it\'s fast & stable, but £33k + VAT (I make that £38775) for a six metre, open, petrol powered boat with no electronics? Pur-lease!

What planet do these journos live on?

not sure which way the pontoons run Ron, Dave and myself are on the pontoon nearest the zetland, Norman is on the one before us...looks nice the boat, looking forward to a closer look soon

Ha Ha Ha, Bob, tis only you could come out with that one, Every one else knows where their boat is moored but Norman\'s, Dave\'s and yours are parked \'nearest the Zetland\'.

If you\'s got any nearer you\'s would be moored along side of them ;-)

cheers lads I am looking forward to getting back aboard a boat its suprising how you miss it , am having to take desprate measures like talking to wor lass lol.

phil I agree I\'ve never seen dave lewis from the sea angler give anything but glowing reports of the boats he tests especially if there taking advertising space in the mag.

I think thats right dave but you should be able to expect some impartial advice from the likes of sea angler it seems they heavily lean towards companys that advertise with them ,other boating magazines manage it especially motor boat which I find much more informative.

I\'ve took to buying Practical boating Ron , They really lay in to the big Manufacturers at times and some very good tips as well .
