Alan, I was trying to help the lad out. I just typed New Hartley Sports and Social Club into Google and WSF was the first link that came up.

Toys out or sabre rattling??

just taking the hummmph, stamping my foot and spitting the dummmmmmy, if you don't mind could you go to the back of the queue for duels, I think Natural England have got a few lined up for me. Might have to go into the NFSAS protection scheme. When I can fit you in, sabre rattling will do fine.

Its great that you took the effort to find the info for the lad, would never have thought of Googling New Hartley Sports and Social club, dduuuurrrrr

no offence meant

I fished it for the first time last year having only just moved back to the n/east. I didn't have a clue where it was but at 8 in the morning (or whenever it was) just drove slowly through the village looking for old bangers with rods in - found the place no problem :D

Gary :)

If you come into the village from Seaton Delaval end it's set back on Bristol Street - on the right after 2 rows of terraced houses (grew up on Gloucester Street which is also right next to it). Come in through the daft chicane speed restriction and just drive straight on, can't miss it.

If you're coming in from Seaton Sluice end, entering the village over the level crossing, follow the road through, you'll pass shops on your right, keep going, sharp left hand corner with a church + clock on the right of the corner, keep going and you'll have a terraced row on your left (Bristol street) and the club is on your left at a break in the terrace.

If you've got satnav put in NE25 0SR and you'll find yourself across the road.

Hope to see a few of you there
