lingking

after sat.ling success, hopes were high at 7am as we sailed out conditions were not too pleasant with more wind than expected:(

arrival at the marks saw ling to 17lb and a few nice cod tiny mackarel too,

late morning saw the tide go slack and the wind drop and the fish disappear:exclam:

the next couple of hours were warmer flatter and fishless:exclam:

then came the wind and tide together a few more fish then home.

water still clear , less productive than sat, but,i have had worse days for sure.

baits were mainly squid and mackarel on hokkis, rippers etc:)

Sounds like a good day out Duncan. Two big Ling in consecutive days for North Star, well done Jim.

Steady fishing Dunc, were you working? You may be right about a few weeks more fishing weather if the forecasts of an Indian summer come true.

Keep the reports coming. :p
