Anybody heading over to norway next year to try a spot of fishing ?

Been looking into it for a good while now, but its hard work deciding exactly whear to go with so many places available. Definatly want to go to north norway.

Remember a thread on here a while ago from some lads who went to "loppa" and they seemed to do well.

Trouble is theirs only me and my dad and its seems alot cheaper to go in a group of 4 or more.

Any idea's or recomendations anyone ? or even better anyone need two extra people to make a group ?

Any info appretiated.

Cheers
Martin.

i tried to get a trip up a few years back and would love to go but others could not make it.
what cost you looking at for 4. as i would still be interested.

I was one of the people with Jason that would have went...the cost is a big factor as its like telephone numbers some packages.

Forgot to say it was boat fishing in norway we fancied.

Price seems a tricky one to work out adding things together; flights, accomodation, boat hire, fuel and transfers.

Also depends what time of year.

You see some packages advertised around £500, but I recon this might not include everything.

What price did it work out for you's last time ? with how many people.

It can get confusing looking through the brochures working out whats included and adding things on. ( for me anyway )

Something me and my dad really fancy doing, but like has been said price depending.

i was also thinking about having a go in norway i have found this bloke who do the tours etc dont kno about his prices but worth a look

22pound cod shore fishing Norway (Skarnsundet)

I'm going over in Feb with a group of lads for 5 days. We are going shore fishing with 1 day on the boat but they do packages for both. Just pm Phil(Skarnsundet) and ask him for prices. Think it's costing us around £500 all in.

gregg send me some info on that please mate as im deffo going next year ill be wanting to do a couple of days of both shore and boat. also PM me your number or drop me a txt ive still got same old phone lol

This May Help.
Just recieved today "The Fishing and Activity Holidayresorts brochure 2010"from DinTur. Its 130 pages full of information, well worth sending away for.

Fancie it like Graham?

I do if not telephone numbers as wanted to not just try for a big cod but mainly and some may find it strange try for a large double figure coalie or a wolfish (catfish) as my pb from our coast is only 8lb

For your information

For your information

Norway is always mis-spelt by angler's there's no letter r.

Due to the prohibited costs to most the country should be know as.

NO WAY

Seems a canny fella that Ian Peacock, spoke to him at the NE angling show this year and got a brochure from him, heard a few people sing his praises aswell.
Also handy as he's based in the NE.
Just depends if a good deal is to be had.

I also like the look of them big halibut aswell as the cod and coalies.

Al leave the unhooking of wollf fish up to you then Northeast1. Would'nt fancy a bite of a double figure beast.

I was in Bergen a couple of years ago and it was around £8 a pint and something like £15 if you wanted burger and chips.

Sea water and dried cod heads were cheap enough tho.

Cheers

Won't be doing any drinking on this trip.......fishing day and night for me!
There's a supermarket we will pass every day and it's not too expensive acording to my mate who's been. Plus we should have no trouble catching out food lol.

I agree Gregg, its not a drinking holiday if i went it would be for the fishing and i ahve told the same as you that the supermarket is ok for things and alot of the food is what you can buy in the uk.

Hadaway an s***e I believe is the expression :p

Hypothetical situation: You've just caught the fish of a lifetime, you get back to the digs and the adrenalin is still surging through your veins...you telling me not one sup of liquor will pass your lips by way of a celebration?

Also I can't imagine for one moment your travelling companions are going to stay "dry" :D

IF i catch that fish mate the only thing on my mind will be......where's the next big one lol Won't be buying any booze at all. Don't know everyone else's plans but 5 days will fly over so i just want to fish.

Don't touch the stuff at home much so won't be there at the crazy prices.

I admire your fortitude ;) (I'm only jealous anyway :red::D)
