have you looked in the catch reports Bri? looks like you need to look further afield next year.
how did you do bri
Glad you enjoyed it Ian we were the same regarding looking for fish but good when you found themHi Brian...we done ok mate, we had 8 doublers between the four of us, I had three up to 13.5. Biggest caught 15. Three of them came from behind the digs.
We had to search for the fish but when we found them fishing was good. Last day produced three Halibut but only to about 6lb. We had Cod,Haddock,Halibut,Ling,Dab, Plaice and one of the deep fish Torque or summit like that.
Met up with some Manchester lads who fished a local Salmon Farm as the owner was a Man Utd fan ! They txt us day after we left saying they had two 30lbrs out, but they fished from the actual cages, musta been like being on a boat.
Was the coldest I've been in Norway !!! It's Vega next year mate, booked already

The first session we had in Lauvsnes this year was the best i have had in my life.
In about 2 hours or so i had 8 casts and got 7 fish out. The 8th cast i got snagged up with a decent fish on.
two of the fish i had out that session were 12.5 lb ish, including one first cast! a couple of the others about 8 lb!
It certainly didn't feel cold that night!
We tried few different places. One being Statland which was about 30 kilometres from digs. Looking at charts we knew of a mark which was 70 ft deep from the shore. Sounded great but it was just about unfishable due to tide pull. We moved around the corner to a new house development and fished from there. Water here about 40-50 ft deep. We did really well. I lost a real big one when it got snagged up. Found out later that the village had been victim of a Tsunami few years ago. Looks like all the debri had gone straight into Fjord when clearing up had taken place.
Was nice to try few different spots.
Mick.
From my experience most deep water shots dont fish very well over there
