This year's comp is north of the Tyne. At present the South team hold the trophy. Winners are the team with the highest combined weight. Details are:
Date: February 1st.
Registration: is at the BOTAC clubhouse which is in the building at the middle of Tynemouth sands, behind the Tynemouth Longsands Surf School (NE30 4JH), beginning 19.45.
Fishing: begins 21.00 and ends 01.00.
Weigh in: is at the BOTAC clubhouse. Ends at 02.00 prompt. No wrasse or rockling to be weighed in.
Boundaries: there are no boundaries other than you must be north of the Tyne (Tynemouth Pier is out of bounds), prohibited river venues are prohibited for us and you have to get back to the weigh in in time.
Optional Sweep: will be £5 for the heaviest bag and £5 for the heaviest fish. There will be prizes for the first 5 in each category.
Low water is at 23.00 giving us 2 hours of the ebb and 2 hours of the flood. It's a big tide so all marks should be accessible. Please use this thread if you think I've missed anything, for any banter you may want to contribute or for any questions or advice. If you wish to add your name to the team lists please use the North or South team list thread.
