pb bag 12/10/13

Tell you what else makes you laugh if it had been a bag of bass people would have said well done for not disclosing mark but because its a cod its ok to reveal

Spot on with that observation. It's only this summer a lad got hammered for revealing where he caught a half decent Bass, poor bugger even got blamed for the Salmon nets that always appear off that beach at that time of year...

I'm actually surprised the bashers aren't in here moaning about taking all them fish, hope they all for the table, non for waste etc etc.

Cracking bag of fish Rocker mate, I would be happy with 1 or 2 of them. :) .

Well well well, isn't it a shame that another Top Secret mark " North of the Tyne" that no-one wants to share... LOL
Isn't it a shame that some people that use this site thinks it's a great Forum for sharing, or just taking information on how to catch Fish, where to catch Fish and with what bait to catch the Fish on, but unfortunately it's not so good when certain anglers come on and share a "picture" of a catch and that's it, your getting to know nowt else !!! LOL
so for all you up and coming Anglers out there, tell nobody nowt and show them nowt and also ask them nowt, then you won't get told any lies... FACT

also the local club results for matches are posted on here, and some of them will tell you what they caught, but certain clubs don't seem to want to share with the sites users where the Fish were caught.... so whats the point !! just read your results out at your club house.
LOL .....

.......... Sea Fishing just isn't what it used to be ..........

Haha your name says it all. I think it's really funny telling people the wrong Mark and watch the report chasers turn up I have done it and fished the mark were I had fish and give a mark close by. Why should anyone feel the need to share the mark? Well done on the fish mate nice advertisement for century watch out Mr pye :D

What else you want mate him to bait up and cast out for ya too.

A cracking nights fishing Rocker, keep up the good work. I tried 3 different locations over the weekend where I was confident I would catch fish and didn't. The marks were roker, whitburn and newbiggin. I usually share the location but rarely the fishing mark itself. Why would i? Like Rocker I spend lots of time and effort to research lots of fishing marks and most without success. No one should expect that a productive fishing mark should be given out on an open forum. It you did this, I suspect you wouldn't ever get on it again.

I'm a Washington lad like yourself Rocker, you should take me along with you on your next trip, LOL

Regards Rushy

Sized cod since Sept 2013 - 14

I think it's fine to keep the location to yourself, as you want to be able to get on in the future.

I think it's wrong though to lie about where you've been. Not sure why anyone would do this.

I would,nt give up mark either. The best way is to get out and look for them. I live 25 mile from the coast and still travel.
Best wishes on the bag-you did really well. I have never had a bag like that except when boat fishing so well done.

Mick.

With good reason!

I disclosed a mark on here or wsf last year and on my return the place was trashed!
Beer cans, plastic bags and loads of other angling related crap!
I filled 3 carriers (all I could find) with crap, and crushed the cans so they would fit in my box.
Lesson learned the hard way.

I'm happy to help in any other way if I can :)

Cheers for all the nice comments lads :)

Rocker m8 I wouldnt explain myself to no one if I was you pal. Ive been on here 3yr and u always do well your good sea fishermen. Too many people on here lookin for a quick solution to catching fish. It takes years of knowledge and experience thats all. Unfortunately theres no quick fix. Quite a few marks in our area have thrown up bags as big and even bigger than this one here and the most of them are no big secret. U need to just hit them on the right tide/sea conditions and have the right bait.

Well done on the bag mate, I'm with you on this one I never used to give my marks up. I use to fish 4 times a week easily hitting different marks getting ready for my Monday night match, so I knew where I was going. It's like me going to all these marks putting the time and effort in to tell someone where the fish were then go there for my match on the Monday night to see it heaving with people.
There's just some marks you have to keep to yourself!

rocker no ones got the right to expect you to give away your marks m8 to many anglers want it all to easy this is the beuty of the sport its meant to be hard

So much nonsense about marks on here at times. I'm sure that tide times, winds, size of tide, baits etc matter as much as the mark, timing is everything.

Any mark will be known by lots of people, but knowing when to fish them is the key I suspect, so anyone who has to ask, would probably blank anyway.

I remember last summer we went to Blairmore Pier, which is usually very quiet, to find the small pier full. We hung around for ages until a couple of boys left and started fishing. Got chatting to four guys who had 2 rods each out, bait and spinning, they told me they were from Edinburgh (100 miles each way and a boat trip!) and there was no decent mackerel spots around their way, so when they read a report(of mine) on shoreangler they thought they would have a road trip!

Haha, I was a bit miffed...............and it was only a mackie spot!!

I've never understood this debate - if you are such the brilliant angler then even if you told someone when/where to fish you should still be outfishing them with your superb equipment, perfect rigs, secret scented baits and THEE perfect bait presentation, perfect casting ability etc. Sounds like some people on here who would be the sort who'd drive up a learner driver's backside. If I knew a spot I wouldn't hesitate telling someone who asked me as surely its the love of the sport and if I could help someone enjoy themselves then that's the pleasure for me - i'm obviously not a competitive one by the sounds of it. It's a fair enough debate but surely if you don't want to give up a mark, don't but if someone does they shouldn't be criticised. People help me otherwise I'd end up killing myself due to lack of knowledge 'at the moment' - thank God everyone not the same!

its also been mentioned on here that its normally the 'experienced' and so called 'expert' anglers who have been witnessed leaving the mess at certain marks - the Walkway being one of them. There was even people on here wanting them name and shamed!

Kayos is right mark!
It's about learning where is likely to fish in certain conditions!
I'm no expert either, I'm learning all the time.
I've spent hours and hours studying the coast in different conditions,
Watching how holes and bars form on different beaches in different conditions.
Mark,
Would you be happy catching fish after I or someone else had told you where to go, what bait to use, how far to cast ect. No because they wouldn't be YOUR fish.
And sitting banging a keyboard dosnt do you many favors.

Like I've said I'm no fn expert, and I've tried to help loads of lads on here!
Anyways I'm off fishing :D

I respect everyone's opinion so its just a case of agree to disagree mate. If I told someone where to fish and they had great session I'd be delighted for them? Would be their fish IMO as there is still the skills involved in the catching? good luck with your next session!
