just been given some fresh pheasants just wondering if the breast is the only part you eat plus how you cook it
not fishing related boys but some good cooks on here

I only eat the brest of them, google recipes theres any amount, i normally get the brest fillet crush some fresh garlic over em and bang em on the george forman for a few mins lush

Place plucked & cleaned pheasant in a brown paper bag.cook for 1hr 20 mins gas mark 5....Remove from oven & allow to cool for 5mins,,,remove pheasant from bag & sling in the bin......eat the bag.......much tastier than the pheasant...lol..

pheasant marinated with garlic over night cooked with black pudding tiny roasties and some dodgy veg absolutly lovely plus i got to lead pelletts out of it maybe another 50 pheasants and i can make a 6 oz sinker boys

PS some say better to game birds for a few days or more to enhance the flavour, personally I wouldn't to rich for me

There very rich to start off with mate, i don't know how people can leave them to mature for a few days. My experience with pheasant at work is basically keep the flavors simple and try and make the pheasant the star of the dish, the moment you add anything overpowering its f*cked :) Good luck toonyboymc ;)

a good plucking ronnie i think you meant something else ....heard stories about you m8 lololol
Your a pleasant plucker :eek:I only use the breast hence no need to pluck, cut down the breast peel back the skin cut meat out very little mess.
They run more than fly so the legs are tough and scrawny.;)
