Quiet night at High Shore 21/09/07

Met up tonight with KeithB and Gregg at High Shore at the Royal Quays for a spot of "easy" fishing...

Nice easy accessible spot to fish for those after an easy river mark - it was my first time there and I'd prob go again

Nowt doing for ages - the baits were getting stripped off each cast...

After a while Keith got a decent tap...

Nice small codling - duly returned of course

Then it went quiet again until my rod tip started going bananas....I'd hooked into my first ever eel!!!! Got it to the railings......and it dropped off....gutted as I'd never caught one before - but also slightly relieved as I've heard they're slimey b*ggers and a pain to unhook

then?.......nowt, we all stayed another hour or so then called it a night.

Good craic though - cheers lads

Took the weens to high shore today, again only two fish caught ..the first fell to lewis lol but never the less his first ever fish

and matty got the best with this nice flounder

The lads said thanks.. only wish Id took em down last night with tony, keith and gregg ..was telling alan earlier the family from hell was there !!the parents in there mid to late fifties and sitting drinking lambrini the dog was there and never stopped yappin the whole session the youngen 17 at least thought it was great to catch crabs and torment the dog then kick them all over the place whilst shoutin f.off at em !!! really nice folk!!!
