Ring replacement

Dropped my rod last week and the ceramic and plastic insert flew out , all that's left is the metal cage . Can you replace inserts rather than get a new ring whipped on

No I'm afraid not whole guide needs to be replaced.

Yes you can. Buy the right ring and you can force the inserts out and pop them into the one on the rod.

Why buy a new ring to knack it buy taking out the insert to put into an old ring, take it to a shop and get it done propely for an extra couple of quid.

most tackle shops will replace 1 eye for a tenner.
fiver for the ring and a fiver whipped on, not worth considering pishing around at that price

You'll be amazed as to how well they've matched the wipping, unless you've got a bashed rod in the first place. Often rod builders use the pop method as it's so quick and easy.

A just get me full rod built agen thn and get chrome minimas on so thy can't smash saves you in the long run like but every other to there own
