River 17-01-12

[Budgie]

Took my laddie (who is a fluffchucker) for a bit of a sesh up the river from 7am till 1pm today sorted him out with all the gear, packet of bluey, 2 hook flapper etc. He caught whiting (including 2 belters), flounders, a coalie, and an undersize codling. All returned, ALIVE, except the two big whities ( 1lb an 1/2) for his granda, he must a had about 20 fish.
A chipped in with a codling bout 2 1/2 lb caught on a big lugworm and mussle bait.
Not to cold to be honest and for the laddie was a great day. He was like 26 gannin on 10, he loved it.

Sounds like a cracking session mate well done to the youngun, I blanked last 2 times fishing the tyne like so fingers crossed for 3rd time lucky. Like yourself I was outfished by my youngun lol.
