Just save a bit of cash and gan oot and buy yersell some gear.

What budget have you got mate and where are you planning on doing most of your fishing? beach/rocks/pier???

If there's any car boot sales still on you often find cheap old kit on them. But most of the tackle shops do cheapy starter sets with rod, reel and line - there's some on Glasgow Angling for just twenty odd quid - eg Glasgow Angling Centre Leeda Sea Outfits

Try Flashfishing Tackle shop @ New Hartley, they have sets for around 20.00 quid, and lots of reasonably priced gear, I gotta Fladen Maximus 666 multiplier for 45.00, a canny all rounder, but like I say they have beach combos aswell, hope this is of help, good luck!
