Just a thought really, I prefer to fish 2 hooks, one up (about 3ft up from weight on a fairly short say 12 inch snood) and one down (below the weight if poss).
Trouble is to keep the bottom hook on the bed is difficult in the swell unless you drag the weight along ...... snag snag....
So, in an effort to keep lower hook firm on or along the sea bed (talking now of muppet lures you realize) I`ve made a "muppet lead head", not I`m sure anything new just all previous leadheads seemed to be designed for shads or jellies. This one fits neatly inside the muppet and, when on a snood of about 2-3 ft should keep the muppet and bait on the bottom regardless of the swell, so long as you keep feeling the bottom with main weight .............. I hope anyway .....

Actually I think the " old faithfull " way of fishing is so successful that minor improvement is all you can expect .
I must admit my idea isn't radical at all but like yours Norman it's an improvement ...........I hope so anyway :)

Well i have to re-map alot of wrecks in spring as silly me only went and wiped numbers 01-15 off the card when re-naming the page on the plotter..oopps

Frasers has some strange looking lures and things that caught me so hoping they catch the fish and not the wreck on the 1st jig up....if am lucky to get a jig that is. :0) sure we all had that feeling once or twice before

Not really too long now tony ......... just 5 more days to go till the winter solstice :) :) then each day grows longer ..... :) (at last)

It's hard at this time of year...wake up in darkness, go to work in a synthetically lit office then come home in darkness...it's a wonder there hasn't been an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency :D

Roll on the early starts...the sunrises and getting the best weather of the day before the rest of the world has even begun to rise :D

some good thoughts there mate, along with steve catching scotchies just outside the piers before anyone else gets baited up.

and the sun breaking out from the distant horizon.

I did wonder when scotchies would get mentioned :D:D

Lets not forget breakfast for Bert and the chaps and " Tiffin " onboard Slinky ;)

New things to look forward to .....2 YES 2 ... new pairs of long nose pliers after somebody threw the old trusted ones overboard .
